Petteri Koponen is a co-founder of four companies, who joined Google in 2007 after the acquisition of the micro-blogging company Jaiku. At Google, one of his favorite tasks is to look over Picasa Web Albums for mobile, a mobile-optimized AJAX application for browsing online photos.

Petteri has worked with mobile products for the last ten years. During this time, his duties have varied from selling service operator platforms in the Middle East to ramping up the R&D and operations of a pan-European mobile virtual network operator. He loves the diversity of mobile technologies and endless creativity of software engineers.

Joe Walnes is a software engineer for Google in London. For the past 12 years of his career, Joe has had a strong focus on building fast and intuitive web-applications - that's what he loves. In the last couple of years, he's turned his attention to mobile web-applications.

At Google, Joe leads the Picasa Web Albums for mobile team, where he's been investigating better ways to share photos on your phone. Outside of this, Joe is actively involved in the open source community. Search the web to find out more...

Daniel Shugrue is a 10 year software and telecom industry veteran. He currently heads the Consumer Engagement team in Nokia’s S60 Marketing group. Prior to his role with S60 Marketing, Daniel served as Product Manager for Nokia’s picture messaging service. Before that he worked with unified messaging software. Daniel holds a BA from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from Babson College.

Ganesh and I met up at the Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco to talk about the things that were announced at the show. Ganesh Sivaraman heads the global marketing of Web Technologies & Applications for S60 and has been instrumental in creating the excitement & awareness of the highly-acclaimed Web Browser for S60. Prior to joining S60 marketing team, Mr. Sivaraman was in charge of product management of S60 Rich Call and had the global responsibility for product creation, management and strategic direction. Mr. Sivaraman also represented Nokia as the lead delegate in mobile standardization bodies, such as SyncML and Open Mobile Alliance (OMA), as co-chairman in SyncML and vice-chairman in OMA Data Synchronization groups. Mr. Sivaraman has been with Nokia since 2000 and has a master's in science degree in Electronics.

I had the pleasure to chat with Oren Levine who is working in S60 marketing focusing on what S60 offers to software developers and others interested in creating new and interesting applications using the platform. We talked about the runtimes on S60, innovative new applications and the next events where you'll be able to find out about the latest S60 developments. Oren Levine brings almost 20 years of experience in software development and mobile communications to his role as Product Marketing Manager in Nokia’s S60 organization. He is responsible for promoting the runtime technology offering of the S60 platform, encouraging software developers to create innovative applications and services for mobile devices.

Oren joined Nokia in 2001, and held a variety of positions in product management, software development, and standardization. Before joining Nokia, he worked for over 10 years as a software engineer and architect, gaining experience in wide range of areas including 3D graphics, machine translation, Web application development and database design . Oren earned an M.S. degree in software engineering from Northeastern University and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from MIT.

I had the pleasure to have a quick chat with Ganesh Sivaraman, who manages the web technologies and applications marketing in the S60 team team in the middle of the busy Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. We talked about widgets, web run-times and the new S60 devices. This week I was joined by Jukka Eklund, he is Product Manager of the S60 Mobile Web Server, and author of the S60 Multimedia Blog and Mobile Web Server blog. We sat down to talk about the latest features in Mobile Web Server, where's it been, and where it's heading. Worked with Internet services since mid-90s, including lots of success stories such as WAP, interactive digital TV etc. :) Loved mobile stuff all his life and finally joined Nokia in 2005. Got into blogging and started S60 Multimedia Blog.

Now involved with Mobile Web Server, responsible for product marketing and road mapping. Passionate about making "beta culture" to become a reality in Nokia.

I'm a huge fan of Nokia's content-sharing site MOSH. I've began to upload my entire S60 library to the service,so I can easily download all my essential apps everytime I switch to a new phone (which is waaay too often). And thanks to the service, I've found all sorts of cool apps I would have never seen without it. If you're a MOSH user, be sure to click here and add me as your friend!

There's been a lot of great things said about MOSH, a few critical things, and a few questions. So I got together with MOSH's Communications Manager, James Waterworth. We discussed the history of the service, where it's been, where it's going - and we even got to a response about their infamous GoogleAdsense-iPhone ad! Enjoy the podcast! MOSH is a user defined distribution channel for mobile content initiated by Nokia. The name "MOSH" comes from "Mobilize and Share".

The channel can be used to both download and upload various content for mobile phones or other platforms. File types that are handled are: audio, images, applications, games, videos, documents.

A person can create an account on MOSH that comes with the following stats: creator (for content created by that person), collector (for the number of objects added to the collection in the account) and sharer (for uploading files that are not necessarily the work of that person) [1]

MOSH was launched by Nokia in August and is still in Beta.

James found his way to Finland and Nokia by marrying a beautiful Finnish girl. He manages media relations for MOSH and wishes he had half the talent of most MOSH contributors. In his spare time he digs holes in the garden, plants flowers, bushes and trees and hopes they will survive the Winter.

The quality of this podcast is a bit fuxored, you'll hear police sirens in the background, a humming sound (we had two mics for four people), and one of the million phones in that room at the time must have been too close to the equipment so you occasionally hear that annoying ticking sound. Anyways - I shouldn't be even posting this but the conversation was so good I just had to.

I sat down with Michal Jerz of My-Symbian.com during the S60 Summit to discuss the long history of My-Symbian.com, the long history of the Communicators, the new E90 Communicator, the future of My-Symbian.com, and a lot about himself.

My-Symbian.com is probably the oldest Symbian site out there, definitely the longest running Communicator site on the internet. Michal is a very interesting guy and this was a gem of an interview. Enjoy!!
