Podcast #25: Roundtable with Darla Mack, Stefan Constantinescu, and Ricky Cadden
While hosting the recent “An Evening with S60″ in Chicago, I convinced a whole bunch of people to cram into my tiny hotel room for some interviews. They graciously accepted, and here’s the first of three interviews - this one is a round table discussion with Darla Mack of darlamack.com, Stefan Constantinescu of intomobile.com, and Ricky Cadden of symbian-guru.com.
The quality of this podcast is a bit fuxored, you’ll hear police sirens in the background, a humming sound (we had two mics for four people), and one of the million phones in that room at the time must have been too close to the equipment so you occasionally hear that annoying ticking sound. Anyways - I shouldn’t be even posting this but the conversation was so good I just had to.
We talked about the Evening with S60, the state of the S60 blogosphere, competition between S60 blogs, how to handle leaked information, alternative mobile phone sales channels, selling S60 in the United States, and whole lot more. Enjoy!!

uh, where are the posts responding to the launch of the iphone, its browser capabilities, development options, etc?
“uh, where are the posts responding to the launch of the iphone, its browser capabilities, development options, etc? ”
Maybe because no one cares?
We’ve had browsers and real development options for years, remember
No one cares about the iPhone, or how Series 60 compares to it? That’s an interesting perspective. My experience is that early adopters’ and innovators’ interest in new technology isn’t bounded by corporate impotency and FUD.
Also, you might receive more comments on your blog if you fixed your CAPTCHA to make the text readable and removed visual cognates like I vs 1, O vs 0, etc.
Just started downloading these…
Love the content, but might I humbly suggest turning off your devices during recording? All that radio interference through the microphone is pretty distracting
Yah, that episode was really bad. There were 10 of us crammed into a tiny hotel room. We were running late and I completely forget to tell everyone to turn off their stuff.
