The AAC+ 24kbps is ideal for mobile devices, the sound quality is virtually identical to the MP3 stream with a much smaller file. |

As many of you noticed, there was a little problem with our audio RSS feeds - some (okay...many) RSS readers wouldn't accept them. This is now fixed and the RSS feeds should work as normal. Many many thanks for being patient while we worked to resolve this problem, and special thanks to everyone who e-mailed or commented to report this issue. If you notice any other problems in the future, I'd be very much appreciative if you let me know!
If anyone is interested as to why the audio RSS feeds had troubles - After I upload each podcast, our downloading service provides us with a URL to the file. That URL is not a direct link to the file, but rather a redirect to another location. RSS/XML specifications do not (to my understanding) allow URL's that redirect embedded in the code. So, our downloading service has released a new version of their platform which now provides a direct link to the file.

I think the actual problem was that many, for example iTunes, podcatchers want URLs (base part) to end with a real filename like podcast.mp3. Since Nokia Download Service URLs you earlier used did not end with a filename but a unique file ID in the query string params podcatchers complained. Now your RSS enclosure URLs end with a real filename. For example: http://nds2.voiceofs60.nokia.com/fdp/voiceofs60/VoiceofS60_05_Elice_Enstedt_140606_64kbps.mp3

The one little problem I'm running into now is the AAC+ feed, iTunes (and I assume others) don't support the format. So people may want to use that format, cause it's much smaller file size, but they'll receive an error message. We've contacted Apple about this, AAC+ isn't supported about iTunes and there wasn't much indication about their future plans to support it.
