MOSH Client is now available for download at Nokia Beta Labs:

MOSH is a service by Nokia, providing a user-driven distribution channel for applications and other content for mobile devices. It enables you to create, upload and share your applications, games, audio, images, and video instantaneously. Or you can be a spectator, and just enjoy what other people have shared.

The service is available at: mosh.nokia.com.

The MOSH client, available for download below, serves as a shortcut to all the basic functions in MOSH, such as searching and browsing content, uploading content, and checking your stats.

Right now, the MOSH team is planning how to make the client application richer, and how to provide the best user experience for you. Try it and tell us what you think!

Download here.

For those of you who wonder, the MOSH team had already launched the same client application under MOSH website. However, we wanted to release it under Beta Labs too, for two reasons:

1) to make Beta Labs application catalogue comprehensive
2) to collect your feedback

Go for it, tiger.

Update: as you wished, here are the barcode-links pointing directly to the download files:mosh_barcodes.PNG

Update: comments thread closed. Nokia Beta Labs blog and all related discussions have been moved to http://betalabs.nokia.com/blog.

    Three words: stable, fast, useful.
On my N95 everything worked well, it’s great that you remain logged in until you manually log out. The app is useful as it’s a MOSH “centre”, all the options in one place.
Maybe you could do something about the shortcut icon on the idle screen. The black sqare behind the green “m” makes it impossible to see if MOSH is highlighted or not, and this can be confusing.
Removing the square or reducing the icon size might help. Also, the ability to change account settings (like password, details etc) straight in the application would be nice.
    Keep up the good work.

Hey Tommi, Just out of curiosity, the s60 3rd app available on the MOSH site is version 3.1.73. The one on Nokia Beta Labs is 3.1.35. Any difference other than the menu layout?

Hey Darla - the versioning of the client is a bit confusing but here goes a simple explanation.

S60 3rd edition uses the 3.1.35 version of the Nokia Content Discoverer client with extensive code alterations. However, the most current version of this branch of the client is 3.1.742.

That’s why you see 2 version numbers on the file name. The first is for the NCD version it is based upon. The second is the version of the client itself.

Am I missing something? What does this do besides give you five hyperlinks into the web site (which all launch the Web application)?

Noah: That’s the problem I’m having with this “MOSH client.” It’s just bookmarks (at the moment), nothing more. So why would I even install it and let it consume memory while I can just use the browser’s bookmarks?
