Yes, but do you have a review with final SW and HW?

AS i know from S60 developer which mention it today on our forum, "protos are working better than commercial samples because memory is not overloaded with standard apps etc"
AS far as I understand he means that with final SW devices have to many task in memory (cache for contacts etc) and that such devices crashes more oftenly. Have to agree with him. N80 proto was much more stable than the commercial one which I used now.
Home Network (WiFi connection) is pretty good working on N93 proto but not working at all on commercial N80. I could count a lot of things which coming worse in the final stage.

From this point of view protos are more favourable to make review. And also you could mention that if prototypes too far from final sample we make preview, not review (case of N80).

Will be glad if you show us the way to improve reviews and accuracy of information .

Who are your target audience then for the reviews, not normal customers? I value your detailed reviews, but the customer gets a very different kind of device (both SW/HW) which you review in many cases. From S60 point of view it's reviewing something that's not final, and I'm sure the Nokia guys making the phones would agree about the mechanics etc. in the phones.

Not agree with this point. As I could see from my expirience plastic quality, mechanics etc (except some new cases) will be the same. And also conclusion in most cases are right for most end users. Only due to it they reading reviews, isn't it?

You might be correct about HW, but here we are more interested on SW :) My opinion is that you should only call something a review when the SW is the one that is on the shops. Everything else is a preview. N71 came to shops couple of weeks ago, but your N71 review was from December?

I have to agree with Jukka here. I think the SW quality is now much better than it was four months ago.

And I have found that even the HW gets better in commercial versions. I don't know why: do they use cheaper parts in protos, leave some slack in mechanics, or what. All I can say is that the HW of commercial version always *feels* better. But maybe it's just me.

Does anyone have an idea how i can get to install softwares onto my nokia 9210i phone? I keep getting an error message - The I/O operation has been aborted. or the file or directory is corrupt and unreachable. If I try loading via the phone's install programme and it displays an error note - invalid.
please help
