April 26, 2006 Mobile Search bug fixed (within a couple of hours) Posted by Tommi at 05:13 PM | Categories: 3rd party S60 applications

Ahh... Another nice example of the power of blogs:

This morning, I wrote about the Mobile Search app by SEPT-solutions. In the afternoon, All About 91 commented about a possible bug. And now, as I'm leaving the office, I receive a comment:

Hi Tommi,

thanks a lot for promoting my app, this is really great.

I think I fixed the trial version bug and have uploaded a new version.

If it does not work with this version, the msearch.cfg file must be deleted first, it is in \private\A00005B2\.
As most people won't have access to this folder, please uninstall and then reinstall the application.

I am very sorry for the unconvenience.

Best regards
Max

Wow!

(I tried it quickly and the bug really is gone - impressive or what?)

Sorry, the sun was shining, otherwise I would have been faster :-)

Great it's fixed, thanks for letting me know.

Regards
Max

I think I found a bug in the recently updated "mobile search" application, but I can not find anything on the nokia site for submitting bugs (forum, discussion, etc.). Any sugestions on how to submit bugs?

Goofy: no idea. I think we should open an underground bug reporting system for technically advanced users to report errors.
