Flickr photo bikes! (powered by S60)

Multimedia - September 16th, 2008 - Written by Oren Levine

Wired News reports on Flickr’s fleet of GPS- and cameraphone-equipped bicycles that they are deploying to a number of Flickr fanatics. The camerphones are, of course, Nokia N95’s. The bikes shoot pictures every 60 seconds and upload them (geotagged of course) to Flickr.

The article also gives you tips for creating your own geo-photo-bike, using an S60 phone and Yahoo’s ZoneTag software. Not so good news for the writer of the article, since as an iPhone user, she will have to wait.

By the way, I’m joining the rest of the S60 crew in New York this week, where I hope to see you at the Evening With S60. Maybe we’ll also run into this photo bike.
