More E71 love from New York City
Joel Spolsky of Joel on Software just bought a Nokia E71, and he loves it. If you’ve read his blog, you know that he has high standards, so this was a pleasant surprise to read.
For many people, the iPhone 3G is perfect. I thought that it meant “game over” for all the other handset makers. But Nokia is a fantastic company and they weren’t going to give up that easy. Their new E71 is a fantastic phone, clearly inspired by the competition, and the game is not over.
I’m happy to see some encouragement from the heart of iPhone-land. Maybe he’ll come back to the flagship store for the Evening With S60?

Someone like Joel just mentioning a product on his blog is bound to generate interest and he’s not only mentioned the E71, but went as far as to declear it as *the* best phone he’s ever used.
If I was in Nokia right now, I’d be handing out free E71’s to other influential technology bloggers and journalists seizing this opportunity, with the tag “You know Joel likes it, why don’t you have a go too?”
I found the E71 delightful. I bought it a month ago and so far I won’t change it for anything. I’ve owned several OS, like Windows Mobil, iPhone, Treos, etc. but the E71 excell all of them. As to give my iPhone first gen to my niece.
@ Tanzim,
Yeah… Free E71’s sounds great. I just hope Nokia is listening…!
I just bought E71 few days back. And I love it…I have owned many smart phones like Nokia Communicator 9300,SonyEricsson P1….but E71 rules them all.E71 is Nokia E90 minus bulkiness…and has all features of E90.Bottom line is that it is the best phone I have owned.
Just two bad points for this nice phone, cannot use it with apple computer, missing some games… then will be the perfect one.
I use E71 with my powerbook (Leopard) too. And No problem. I can sync with isync and connect to internet via E71 as HSPDA modem. It’s really nice.
You just have to download new plug in. You can find it from Nokia website.
