Attention all you S60 fans in and around Hong Kong!!

An Evening with S60 arrives in Hong Kong on Monday November 12th from 7 pm to 9pm at the Nokia Flagship Store in Causeway Bay (38 Russell Street). It will be an evening of good food, good people, good fun and of course...great technology!

On the agenda for the night...

- Food & drinks
- Presentations on latest news on S60 in Cantonese
- Network with other S60 and mobile enthusiasts from the area
- Share your S60 experiences with our engineers and marketers
- Hands-on with all the latest S60 devices
- One-on-one demonstrations
- Get applications, give-aways...

…check out our Flickr page for photos of our previous An Evening with S60 nights in San Francisco, London, New York, Chicago, and Helsinki. And find out all the latest news from the event by visiting this blog.

Contact me (phillip dot schwarzmann at nokia dot com) with any questions you may have. Click here to link to the Cantonese registration form.

Looking forward to seeing you all there! (please note the event will be conducted in Cantonese, but of course all are welcome!)

So when is the English-language version of 'An Evening with S60' going to be held?

Posted by: Brian Donovan | November 5, 2007 07:08 PM

Hi! All five of our previous Evening with S60's have been in English, this is the first to be in a different language.

Brian, are you located in Hong Kong?

Posted by: Phil Schwarzmann | November 6, 2007 09:58 AM

Yes. I apologize - I should have said so in my comment. Both my wife and I are N95 owners and fans of Nokia devices and S60. As you probably know, Hong Kong has a sizable English-speaking expatriate community, English is an official language of Hong Kong, many non-expat residents have achieved English fluency, etc.

I've noticed recently that Nokia has been running promotional events in HK (like a scavenger hunt that showed off the N95's GPS features) that seem to be tailored exclusively to Cantonese speakers. There may have been events aimed at English speakers as well - if so, I apologize - but I haven't heard or seen mention of any.

Brian, are you talking about "An Evening with S60" in English in Hong Kong? At the moment, we don't have a plan. But do let me know if there is enough interest. I think most attendees speak English. So if you don't mind sitting through the Cantonese presentations (very shot anyway), you are welcome to come along.
