October 24, 2007 An Evening with S60, San Francisco Posted by Phil Schwarzmann at 06:29 PM | Categories: S60 Events

Last night we hosted our fifth "An Evening with S60", this time it was at the Element Lounge in downtown San Francisco. For those who don't know, it's an intimate gathering of S60 crew and S60 fans in the area. We had a great turnout of close to 100 guests. The venue was super cool, a few blocks off the beaten path but well worth the walk. An apparent longtime local resident shouted at me, "Welcome to hell. I've been here 45 years." Thank you!

All the latest S60 devices were on display. We had awesome finger foods being passed around with an open bar. Each guest received a goodie bag with a Nokia BH-900 headset, S60 t-shirt, and a bunch of S60 swag. And one lucky guest walked home with a Nokia N95 US-edition! Afterwards we all hiked over the Nokia MOSH party, unfortunately they were filled to capacity and after standing in line (that wasn't moving) for a half hour and hearing complaints of the club being shoulder-to-shoulder inside, we gave up and went to sports/piano bar for a couple pitchers of beer.

I had so many interesting conversations throughout the night, it was a pleasure meeting all of you! Thanks to everyone for such a fantastic evening! Check out all the photos from our Flickr site, big thanks to Phoneboy for all these great pics!

Thanks for the event. It was really nice to see the new devices and chat with a few people. Seems I've converted two people in my group at work. Soon as their contacts expire they want N95s. Well, soon as the price drops after the "christmas rush." I am looking forward to more eseries FP1 devices. The boss keeps asking me about my nokia and how we can extend our infractucture. Anyway. thanks again.
