Wow, big day at Nokia yesterday. I just got done watching the big presentation from Nokia's top brass in London. New N-Gage platform, new music service, and three new S60 devices!?! I'm floored!! Although sometimes I wish Nokia could get a spokesperson to show a little more enthusiasm for such an exciting event. And I cringed everytime I heard the words "Series 60" and not "S60". :-)
Fortunately the technology speaks for itself! Check out the latest members of the S60 device family from S60.com - The Nokia N95 8GB, Nokia N81, and Nokia N81 8GB...

They need to get us bloggers up there showing off the devices. ;)
Posted by: PhoneBoyLooking forward to displays with resolution higher than QVGA. Guess I'm stuck with my N80 for another year. I was really hoping the N95 refresh would at least have 416x352
Posted by: Eric | August 31, 2007 01:04 AMI had that 416x352 on my old Nokia E70, it's a gorgeous screen but it's just not compatible with much of anything. It's difficult to encode video. I'm glad to see that S60 is sticking to one main resolution for the time being, it makes it easier for developers and for the video encoders.
But I'd very much welcome some real VGA!! :-)
