8 random things about me
I got tagged by Jake of S60 TV, which is great because I *never* get tagged! So here’s the rules…
- Players start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
- People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules..
- At the end of your blog post, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names..
- Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
1. Learning the Finnish language is probably the greatest challenge I’ve ever taken on. I’m doing quite well, but as any foreigner in Finland will tell you, it’s a VERY difficult language.
2. I’m President of the Nokia Board Game Club, and have over 200 board and card games in my collection. In my free time I design my own games (I’m a fan of Euro/German games) and have hopes to one day have a game published.
3. My girlfriend is Finnish, that’s how I wound up in Finland, we met on a cruise in the Bahamas.
4. My pet peeve is ABC gum (= already been chewed gum). Just the sight of it makes me sick to my stomach.
5. My favorite author is Philip K. Dick, I’ve read almost everything he’s ever written. Many of his books have been made into movies like: Minority Report, Total Recall, Blade Runner, A Scanner Darkly, and others.
6. My favorite band is Depeche Mode and has been so since I was about 9 years old. I just can’t get enough.
7. I think I’ve memorized every line in every episode of The Simpsons. My favorite line, from Ralph Wiggum, “Hi Principal Skinner! Hi Super Nintendo Chalmers!”
8. The city of Tromso in northern Norway is the most beautiful place I’ve ever visited. The area around Kuusamo, Finland is a close second, the French Riviera third.
I’m now tagging: Jukka Eklund, Carol Chen, Kevin Korppi, Dan Shugrue, Dameon Welch-Abernathy, Peter Harbeson, Steven Stewart, and Dean Andrews.

Depeche Mode rocks!!!!
