February 19, 2007 3GSM - Web Roundup Posted by Phil Schwarzmann at 03:53 PM | Categories: S60 Events, S60 News

A *LOT* of information to digest from last week's 3GSM. The online press have been vigorously reporting and commentating, it's impossible to read it all. So here's a few of the highlights from around the web...

Your company just fired 700 people and threw them on the street. Quite possibly these folks will not be able to feed their families. Yet you continue to avoid the issue and talk about meaningless stuff instead. Sad. Very sad.

Concerned, thanks for the feedback but here on "See into S60", we just talk about S60-related topics. I think your comment goes out of the scope of this blog.

I noticed that you copied this same comment in a few other threads of this blog. I've removed those comments since double and triple posting isn't allowed. Thanks for understanding!

Phil: thanks for your answer. You removed my posts, did ya? Why? Was my question a little too "delicate" and uncomfortable for you Nokia guys to comment on? You don't want other people to see how you treat your fellow colleagues right?

That's fine, this is your blog... just remember: one day it could be you out there standing in the unemployment line.

There will be a new blog about this issue soon...the truth is gonna come out. There will be no deleting of posts on the blog I can tell you.

Thanks

concerned: as I replied to your other comment, we are not allowed to comment or provoke discussion on this issue.

I think your comment was the first time ever for us to delete anything under blogs.s60.com. And that was not because of your question, but due to the duplicate postings, which felt a bit like spam.

Hi again!

Double and triple, or in your case, 5x posting isn't welcomed in this blog, and I doubt you'll find a blog owner anywhere in the world who'd allow it.

Tommi and Phil…thank you for your honest answers. By double, triple or as you say "5X" posting I am merely trying to bring this topic to light as I see that it's being quietly pushed aside. 700 people find themselves without work. Perhaps a little self-restraint was in order for the company and this blog? Yet you continue to boast about your wasteful company paid trips to Barcelona and how much beers (company paid I bet) you were drinking and how flashy the new phones are. The people that were fired are worried about feeding their children. I am simply looking for somebody, anybody, to comment on these recent tragic events. The way in which some (if not most) of the 700 people are being treated is repulsive, if not downright against EU labor laws.
