More music coolness for today! Alltunes is a user interface for AllofMP3.com's music catalogue, and now they have a version for S60 too (download here). AAS has a review up already, I'm heading there :)

The site's legality is a bit questionable. It is legal to offer the tracks for download in Russia, but the legislation of the country of your residence might make it illegal to actually download the tracks. For example, the British IFPI representative says it would be illegal to download tracks from AllTunes in Britain. (See Guardian article: http://snipurl.com/oie0)
AllTunes might be paying royalties, but if those royalties constitute as proper compensation for the works is a different matter.
If you don't have a problem with the artists not getting paid reasonably, go ahead and download! :)

The stores sell music encoded in standard, non-protected audio formats at a significantly lower cost than other online music stores.
Posted by: Shital Jethva | August 3, 2007 11:46 AMAllofmp3.com is controversial because the US and European record label industry groups say it is illegal but the company says the music download site complies with Russian copyright law. It pays into a collecting society but that society is reported not to have made payments to artists.
