Just a quick note to those of you are going to Barcelona for the S60 Summit. We have a presence there, in Expo/Reach area. My colleagues Juha and Jorma are happy to show you the latest new stuff in person. You can also drop your comments here as always.

I am leaving office for Christmas, so here goes my holiday greetings to all of you! I want to thank my colleagues, partners and all of who have had interest in our service so far. It's been an interesting "new start" for me personally, and I don't have any idea where this might end up - and that's just fine :)
We will back in 2008, and the first on the plate is naturally our next release (1.2 beta) which has been boiling for a while and will be out soon. To have a sneak peek of what's coming you can take look in our demo site. All of the changes are not visible on the site, but some might..

Just a quick heads up: I set up a page on Facebook as well. So if you like us, come on in and become a fan!

Coincidence or not but our hot-from-the-oven version 1.1 is shown live at the Symbian Smartphone Show in London right now (16-17 Oct. 2007). We're not there ourselves but just find out our friend Harri at stand #43 and he'll be happy to show it.

Here it is, a brand new blog dedicated to Mobile Web Server. This blog is the place to check out for everybody who is interested in Nokia's Mobile Web Server project. We will share insight on the product, new features, what will the future look like - you name it. You are able to take part in shaping this concept to its full fruition - whatever that might mean.
Mobile Web Server, that is a real Apache HTTP server running on your S60 device, is pretty unique and novel concept. But what should I do with it? We offer some basic applications such as access to camera, contacts, calendar and your own blog which are great for starters but we don't expect them to be enough for everybody. This is when the true power of this concept comes into light: by using some familiar web technogies such as Apache and Python and making it work together we have created a platform that's very easy to expand and tailor to any need you might have. This blog will be a hub of information for all parties involved whether you are a happy (or unhappy) end-user, developer, researcher or in my case the product manager trying to figure out which way to drive the thing.
So without further ado, welcome and let's start :)
