« Widgets, badges and more | Main | Nokia N95 users: go and update your device software! »
I was at Nokia World 2007 and thought I'd share my feelings after the (huge) event. I was busy manning our demo stand for the whole during of the event, so for insight on keynotes etc. better to look elsewhere..

First of all I think it was certainly worth attending, the general feedback I got was extremely good. Depending on the visitor it might take a while to explain what this is all about but once they "get" it, I could literally see how the ideas start whirling around in one's head. Those people who stopped by in our demo ended up staying for quite a while and the discussios were really enlightening, usually for all participants. Most of the interested guests immediately saw past the current status and started to wonder where this might actually end up and how it might be really changing the way mobile devices are used in the Internet.

Some actual quotes from the visitors:
This is the best thing I've seen here!
Really innovative stuff, finally something more than just 'fun and games'. (Our demo was in the 'Innovate more with technologies' area)
I got numerous really good suggestions, ranging from small feature ideas to whole new concepts. A big thanks for all of you for those! I am putting all of them under discussion here and after scrutiny they will end up in our backlog of things to implement. In a personal level it was really nice to meet finally in person the many people I have been in virtual contact over the years: Darla, Rafe, Ricky and the guys from Symbian Freak. And of course our "neighbour" in Tampere, Stefan :)
Once again, thanks for all of you who visited us during the event!
PS. If you didn't have the chance to visit this time, remember to check out the latest new stuff and be sure to subscribe to our official News RSS feed. For a sneak peek of things to come, surf your way to demo.mymobilesite.net.

Awesome stuff, I'm still a little bothered by the fact that a gateway is needed, but I understand that in it's first implementation you keep it the way it currently is.
Posted by: Stefan Constantinescu | December 8, 2007 11:49 PMThanks Stefan! In fact the gateway is not needed if you don't want the site to be available for all Internet (called Local mode in our settings).
