December 11, 2006 Screencast: On-device debugging with Carbide.c++ 1.1 Posted by Markus Ahonen at 11:01 AM | Categories: Carbide.c++ 1.1, FAQ, On-device debugging, Screencast, Tool setup

After some initial troubles, a screencast about how to do on-device debugging with Carbide.c++ is available on Forum Nokia. As always, let me know what you think, and what is missing.

Download the screencast here.

Why is it a windows .exe download? Just embed the video on a webpage.

I asked our marketing folks and apparently the reason is that producing one of these high-tech babies costs them money, and in order to justify spending in the future they have to be able to show the screencast was viewed by enough people... But it sounds to me like the reason has more to do with our web technology, which is more tuned for file download than supporting streams...

Eventually, though, I hope we'll be able to push away from .exes. The alternative would have been a shockwave file.
