Maps Campaign for North America Now Open
Alright we’ve got the pieces in place….Ambassadors in North America head over to the Ambassador page to sign up for the Maps 2.0 campaign in North America. The campaign starts today and runs through January 2. We’re taking 250 Ambassadors on a first come, first serve basis. (We’re limiting sign-ups because we have a limited number of Maps voice navigation vouchers.)
Each Ambassador will get a voucher to try our voice navigation service for 3 months. At the end of the 3 months the 25 most engaged and active Ambassadors will earn rewards. As usual, we’ll assign a 2 month loaner phone each week (the E71) to the Ambassador who writes the “Report of the Week”.
So sign up, try out the service, and let us know what you think — and, if you like what Maps has to offer, let your friends, co-workers and family know what you think. We’re standing by, eager to start reading reports!

Ouch! Will next week’s campaign be for everyone?
Just another example of the pitiful state of Nokia Maps & Navigation.
Signed up for the campaign.
Why does the password for registration need to be exactly 8 characters? Makes no sense.
Cool…now I can get something for showing off Nokia Maps to everyone who will listen. I’ve been demoing this app for a while now and it will be nice to show it off in the role as an ambassador.

I’m looking forward to giving Maps a try and showing it off to people if I like what it does. I just signed up for the campaign through my Ambassador account - how are the vouchers delivered?
Well Dan, here are my thoughts regarding the Nokia Maps and GPS. This was when i was in US.

Furie, we are working on a few campaigns here - at least one of which we hope to have available globally. These things are taking longer than we had hoped, so do hang in there while we get them through.. and keep checking!
Robert H: We’ll be emailing the activation codes.
abhishta: Thanks for that comment. My password was 8-characters by coincidence and I hadn’t realized this! We are looking into this now.
