An Evening With S60: Where next?

Calling all S60 Ambassadors! We’re in the process of planning events for next half (July - Dec). There will be at least one “Evening” in the Americas, one in Europe, and one in South East Asia.

We’ve been reading the forums and blogs to see where people want us to come. We hear these requests and we want to make sure that we aren’t missing others. Figured it’d make sense to have a single place where we could collect feedback — if you want an Evening in your area, let us know in the comments for this blog. Taking logistics/budget into consideration, we’ll do our best to show up where there is the most demand.

Note: please be specific — for example we hear lots of requests for India, but we don’t know *where* in India we’d get the most turnout.

I would like an Evening with S60 in Amsterdam or The Hague.I’m from Bulgaria,but I think it’s highly unlikely for you to make an Evening in Sofia.From the fall I’ll be in the Netherlands to study so I’ll be able to come.

Well you haven’t had ANY evening with S60 in the middle east so far, and Lebanon would be a nice place to start. Nokia, Nseries and S60 have a GREAT market share in Lebanon (ask your guys) and Lebanese are always enthusiastic about mobile phones and new technologies. Plus the weather is awesome no matter the season, the food is great and everyone swears by the Lebanese hospitality

CHICAGO. We are in the middle of the USA. Easy for people to get to and I already recommended Chicago to WOM World people during their event here two weeks ago. Chicago has great beaches, lake front, diverse communities. I say Chicago S60 Beach Bash. I volunteer to help with the organization

I’m surprised about the huge support for India.
If it’s possible Dan, please make a list of the top 3 or 5 cities that you’ll consider for this year, and have AEWS60 in that order.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada, please!

Toronto has great Galla’s for Art, Music, Dancing all reachable easily from major streets by Car, or public transit (subway, bus, streetcar). One can litterally get to any of these locations without ever getting wet from rain. Gotta love the P.A.T.H. in downtown Toronto.

Of course many locations in the USA have this as well, but there has been over 5 events alone in the USA. Nokia’s new sales contract with Rogers Wireless (headquartered in Toronto) for the N95-4; should prompt Nokia to boost their presence in Canada; to strengthen on-going sales with providers.

PS: the N95-4 add for Canada has a mistake. “Music” should be aligned by the N95-4 photo for Music not video, hehe.

Wow…thanks for the enthusiastic response! The calls for India have validated our initial impressions that we *need* to pay a visit. No promises yet but it is a priority for us to make this happen between June and Dec. Beyond that we’re still looking for venues and possibilities in the rest of the world.
