N-Gage Report of the Week: 9 cents an hour!
Our latest Report of the Week comes from Maggons, who calculates that she paid around 9 cents for 1.5 hours of Reset Generation play. Not a bad rate, better than I used to spend on Pac Man in High School:
Report: Playing Reset Generation on the go
As I told you in my last report I was on a education trip.
On the third of five days I was so bored that I decided to play some Reset
Generation.
I rather wanted to play vs human players than computer to I decided to
connect to the internet.
And I wassurprised how nice this went. Before I did this I never knew that
Reset Generation has such a low data transfer rate. I expected much more
because you can set a limit of transferred data before you get a warning.
That limits are 2, 5 and 10 Mb I think; or anything comparable.
But after having played 1,5 hours ( !!) I watched my transferred data
and I only had 800 kb transferred over all.
So having fun just cost me 9 cent because that is my providers price for 1
MB of data.
I really like spending my money like that and I am gonna play Reset
Generation from any places in the future, too.
My 2 roommates could not believe that 1,5h playing via mobile internet only
costs 9 cent but well, I told them about S60 devices just being great
After having told them about the ambassador campaign, one of them told me
that he was about to buy a N79; he also wants such a great phone as i own.Well, that’s what he may get

The only thing I have to complain about are 2 bugs which I found:
- when you listen to FM radio and open N-Gage, the radio stucks.
You have to “tab out” and i continues playing; but that was some kind of
annoying.
Did it 3 times; everytime the same.
- by playing over mobile internet I get an error like “Connection error
3-1032″ from time to time; I do not know what that was about but it throug
me out of some games.And well, some others already complained about permanent disconnecting but
my connection was really nice.
