Mobile Web Server: The future begins now
As announced yesterday, Mobile Web Server beta is now ready. That’s a bold statement but it only means this particular beta track has reached it’s end and there are no more application releases planned. However it doesn’t mean that you should stop using the application and service, quite the contrary. Mymobilesite.net gateway and portal will remain online so you can continue using your personal mobile site just as before. Lots of effort has been put to fix any remaining errors and we even added proper support for S60 5th Edition & Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.
So what happens next? I wish I could tell you, but the future is still open. Even though there might not be visible activity under the titles Mobile Web Server or mymobilesite.net, that doesn’t mean there is nothing happening. Stay tuned!
In the mean time, check out the new Group Calendar widget. Besides being quite a cool application for MWS, it gives a one more example what is possible when our pocket computers have a built-in server in them. What do you think about the widget, please comment!

Hi Jukka,
Thanks, the Group Calendar widget is a good one, innovative stuff.
Btw, added the facebook status application - any plans for other custom plugins ? targeting other social networking - twitter ? or any plans to adapt to professional social networking - Linkedin ?
Best Regards,

Hi, to embed MWS into social services please check out the Content RSS feed.
Hi Jukka,
The above link to the group Calendar is not working.
Why don’t you add useful applications that I would really need e.g. Secure/encrypted file transfer, etc. Thanks. D.
@Ravindra, it’s fixed now! Don’t know what happened, let’s say it was my bad
@Divine Logix: Could you be a bit more specific, what kind of file transfer? If you mean transfer from/to phone, that’s already included in MWS. Just take a look on the User guide and look for word ‘webdav’.
Hi Jukka. I’ll double check that. Thanks for pointing that out.
