N-Gage Report of the Week: Beating Back Boredom

Clintonjeff shows us how N-gage Reset Generation can be used to pass a dull moment:

You’ve ever had one of those moments when you and your friends are hanging out together and are just genuinely bored ?

Well it happened to me a couple days ago. A group of 4 friends were over at my place, 2 of them had N-gage compatible handsets, the other 2 had other phones, but had their laptops with them.

I randomly suggested “Hey so you guys heard of this game called ‘Reset Generation’ on N-gage ?” . My friends have grown used to me talking about N-gage every now and then. I’ve been a supporter of the platform ever since I got my N-gage classic back in 2004. They also know that I’m an S60 Ambassador. On a quest to save the world from the horror that is Windows Mobile. At least I try . So they’re also pretty used to being updated on S60 news thanks to yours truly, from time to time.

“Reset what ?” they answered back. Time to show off N-gage ! I whipped out my N96 and showed them a little bit of the game. They thought it looked fun in a sort of crazy way. I asked my friends with the N-gage compatible handsets to use my WiFi to download the trial to their phones so maybe we could have some multiplayer action. Not to be left out, I guided my other 2 friends to the free pc online version of Reset Generation so they could join in on the fun. A couple minutes to register N-gage usernames and we were taking turns at playing each other. Rescuing princesses, dropping blocks, they were hooked on Reset Generation. 4 people having a go at once. One of my friends was a huge Sonic the Hedgehog fan, so he chose the Hedgehog as his character. Another pal, was a huge Tomb raider fan, so decided to go with the Babe Gunner Character. For me ? The monster hunter character’s way cooler than the rest.

We played around for about an hour before taking a break. They really got hooked onto the game. We’ve even played a couple rounds since that day.

I do believe I got my friends N-gage’d on Reset Generation. More people to join in on the multiplayer fun!
