Format your text messages
In case you haven’t heard, “An Evening with S60” events are fantastic. So far there have been three in 2007 – NYC (March), Chicago (June), and Helsinki (June). In addition to meeting a lot of great people and hearing insider S60 news, there are a lot of cool S60 tips that get shared at these gatherings.
Dan Shugrue of Nokia S60 marketing stumped several tipsters including myself with this tip at the Chicago event.
How do force a new line in a text message?
Enter three zeros on the keypad while in the text message (SMS) editor. The cursor will jump down to the next line. This allows you to make a new line or “paragraph” in a message or simply let you put your name at the bottom of your message in the appropriate place. Try it and add a little professional polish to your next text message.
Dean I’m so glad that you mentioned this!! I remember when Dan mentioned it but by the end of the night when it came time to sit down at my laptop I completely forgot what he had said. And of course I was too shameful to send him a message asking him to repeat it. Lol
You did know that the “enter” key is under *-selection key as well?

Well, at least we’ve got a conversation going on!
I’m surprised that some don’t see three quick clicks on 0 as being faster than routing through the special character menu - but I guess you can’t please everyone.
So, let me challenge those of you with spare time on your hands - what is an S60 tip or shortcut that you know of that many people don’t?

From what i see …pressing the zero button thrice OR …pressing the “hash” key…then the “left” key…and then the “ok” button…basically takes the same amount of time and effort.So much for the big discovery !! :o)
sorry…that should be the “asterix” key…instead of the “hash” key.
Pressing 3 zeros is definitely faster. And I didn’t already know this. Good tip, thanks!
