The new guy

Thanks to Jukka for that gracious introduction. I’m looking forward to carrying on with the blog, and I hope to maintain the excellent standard that Jukka has set.

But first, it’s time for me to leave for my summer vacation. I’ll be away for a week, and back to posting after that.

In the meantime, here’s a question to chew on. The question is, what’s next? Will we see these services integrated more directly into the platform, and if so, how? For example, perhaps you could search for photos and videos based on info in your Contacts, or from location data.

Let me know what you think.

Oren, here is an idea for a post: we are seeing a lot of comments like “why I can’t watch Youtube, Google video, etc videos straight on my S60 phone?” Could you elaborate on the latest developments regarding that?

Couple of things I know already, but might use some promoting:
    - N93 can already show “iPod videos” as is
    - S60 3rd Ed, FP1 has support for streaming video directly on the browser windows
