“Certificate error. Contact the application supplier” when installing applications
I’m not sure about the other S60 3rd Edition devices, but I know the Nokia E61 & E70 do not allow you to install any apps that don’t carry a proper certificate. This is quite confusing for everyone, however there’s a simple way to change this…
Goto Tools -> App. mgr -> Options -> Settings. Then change “software installation” from “Signed Only” to “All” and “Onlline certic check” to “Off”.
One of S60 3rd Edition’s goals was to beef up security on the device, allowing only signed apps to be installed would help against viruses and other nasty malware. So if you turn this feature off, be careful when installing apps from unknown sources. Check out the e-series blog for more detailed info.

Suggestion helped installing some of the apps that I was unable to install, but there r still other apps that I can’t install and I still get the same dialog. Is there anything else that might be causing the problem?
I still cannot install opera mini on my n73?!?!
following applications were installed to my memory card…Opera Mini (version?) & “nav4all”. These installed originally, without certificate error. Then I format the memory card. Now not possible to install these 2 applications on phone memory or memory card.
