Hip-hip-hooray! Let me introduce the first 3rd party application publicly available for S60 3rd Edition: Handy Weather by Epocware:
It seems to work great with my Nokia 3250. Although I wonder did I really need an S60 application to tell me that the weather in Finland makes you want to kill yourself…

Congratulations for the first application for S60 3.x.
Now, I am curious what would be the first freeware application for S60 3.x. Symbian Signed thing makes freeware developer so difficult.
I have a freeware for S60 3.x platform. I have submitted it to Symbian Signed (CellMania) more than 1 month ago for signing, but they didn’t come back to me at all. I have sent email to them email, but no reply.
It would be interesting to see the future of freeware applications in this platform.
Antony, have you tried self-signing your application? Or does it require capabilities that are not user grantable?
Anthony, sorry to hear. I guess it would be in everyone’s benefit to keep the S60 freeware development alive and attractive. I think somebody really should take a look at your problems.
Unfortunately I need capability that is not user grantable. That’s the problem. I don’t know what to do next, the Symbian Signed for freeware seems not up and running yet….
